Being a Quality Assurance Engineer it's a hybrid job. Where you need to best utilize your time will vary depending on your current project. You will sometimes compete with POs and BAs on business knowledge, other times you will sit side by side with architects to gather technical knowledge, trying to find potential pain points. Nymphis is the place where I’ve gained confidence to use my talents across different projects, as skills learned on a particular project can be transferred using the proper techniques. And it really doesn’t matter what your job description is, if you find something of value, here, you will be able to speak up, test your hypothesis and implement things. Sky is the limit once you overcome your fears.

When I first joined Nymphis, I was just a java developer in the early stages. I was eager to learn as much as possible and to have the opportunity to grow. Well, I can say that at Nymphis I’ve found what I was looking for. During these years I’ve learned more than I could’ve imagined. By joining a large scale B2B e-commerce project, I had the chance to work with technologies such as hybris, micro services, graphQL and AWS. My skillset improved drastically, and I was also able to interact with other professions such as devops or frontend. Being part of multiple teams taught me how to work with others and sometimes how to manage a team or tackle a tough situation. After several years of building new technical knowledge and soft skills I was able to switch roles from a backend developer to a technical lead. After this, it’s hard to recall a moment of boredom. Also, I never had the feeling that I’ve hit a plateau and I’m not progressing anymore. Here I was also encouraged to try to learn new things and get out of my comfort zone. This kind of attitude helped me realize that making things work is not sufficient so I should try and focus on finding the best possible outcome. As a result, I got certified in hybris, but it doesn’t stop here. Now, I’m looking forward on improving my devops and frontend skills. Here at Nymphis I have everything I need to do this and more.

I was asked by my friends: Why Nymphis? Well, the answer came instinctively because I work full remote and time is flexible and I work with the latest technologies. Moreover, I am involved in the technical solutions that we deliver, and the HR department makes me feel that I count. Here, I have professional development, support from the company to obtain certifications, a financial comfort that leads directly to my very good mental comfort. Moreover, regarding my personal development - we have various presentations and communication sessions attended by trainers.
